Founded by Harry Elliott in 1914, Elliott Homes has built more than 25,000 single-family homes throughout California and Arizona — creating sought-after communities in desirable neighborhoods for over 100 years. The Elliott Homes Timeline
With over 100 years of experience as a four-generation family enterprise, Elliott Homes is known for being an innovative, forward-thinking builder while still staying true to its humble roots.
Harry Elliott was born in Missouri, then moved to Aberdeen, Washington. He became a builder of homes, bridges, roads and barns.
Harry Elliott II (HC) was born in Aberdeen and eventually worked as a carpenter for his father’s contracting business.
During WWII, HC was employed at the navy yard in Port Orchid, Washington. On nights and weekends, he worked on his homebuilding business.
HC moved his family to southern California, where he constructed his first subdivision before building 1,500 homes in the San Gabriel Valley.
HC and his family moved to Santa Barbara, where they worked tirelessly to become the largest homebuilder in the area.
HC and family moved to northern California for cheaper land. Their first major project was redeveloping the Livermore airport to a residential area with 2,000 homes.
Harry III joined his dad’s home building business.
Harry III opened his first Homebuilding project in Phoenix, Arizona.
Harry III took over as President after HC retired.
Elliott Homes began designing and building master-planned communities throughout northern California and moved their headquarters to Folsom, CA.
The Elliott Conservancy was formed to further the preservation efforts of environmentally sensitive areas in Granite Bay, Elk Grove and South Sacramento.
The Harry C. and Deborah L. Elliott Family Foundation was founded to enhance the quality of human life in the communities it serves.
Harry III started home building in Yuma, AZ.
Nick Elliott, youngest son of Harry III, was named Controller of Elliott Homes Inc.
Elliott Reserve - Custom Home Division was born and our first custom home Rolling Greens Lot 9 won Best Custom Home in the Sacramento Region at the MAME Awards.

We’re More Than Residential
Elliott Homes is also a broadly diverse builder and developer of commercial, retail and office centers—including Palladio at Broadstone in Folsom, California. This spectacular 700,000 square foot lifestyle center spans across 55 acres and features classic Italian-inspired architecture. Palladio at Broadstone currently houses Palladio 16 Cinemas, the world’s largest digital, solar-powered movie theater, as well as Whole Foods, H&M, Chicago Fire and over 60,000 square feet of high-rise office space. Other past commercial projects include Broadstone Marketplace in Folsom, Westbridge Plaza in West Sacramento and Villaggio in Fresno.
We Care About Conservation
At Elliott Homes, we care about preserving the land and wildlife around our projects and beyond. The Elliott Conservancy was formed to further the preservation and enhancement of natural open spaces, oak woodlands, vernal pools, seasonal marsh, seasonal wetlands and other environmentally sensitive habitats. The Conservancy aims to provide educational opportunities to individuals and the public through research opportunities and tours.
